According to research, live gigs are among the top experiences adults choose to spend their money on. But in 2023, 16% of the UK’s grassroots music venues closed, or stopped programming live music, due to the financial strain to keep these venues running. 

Live music is integral to a thriving nightlife in our cities. And we want to ensure our users are able to continue to enjoy the unique moments provided by these music venues. 

To support the future of live music, FREENOW partners with MVT donating all funds raised through the 'Round up and Donate' feature in the FREENOW app to the Music Venue Trust. Any donations made through our ‘Round up and Donate’ feature will go directly to the Music Venue Trusts’ Emergency Response Service - saving hundreds of venues from closure. 

All donations made by passengers through. the'Round up and Donate' feature will be passed directly to Music Venue Trust. To take part, you should do the following:

1. Download & register an account in the FREENOW app 

2. Follow the 'Round up and Donate tab inside your profile

3. Make sure the toggle is activate. Once activated, we will automatically round up all trips to donate to Music Venue Trust
