If you’ve ever worked with Thibault, Senior People Business Partner at Freenow, you know he’s calm under pressure, sharp in his thinking, and someone who brings clarity to even the most complex situations. But behind that steady presence, there is also a story that not many people know.
What’s a surprising detail about you that colleagues might find unexpected?
I’m a former Naval Reserve officer. Among other things, I have supported foreign relations events, especially major naval events. If you’re curious to know funny anecdotes, please reach out!
Tell us a bit about your path. How did your professional journey lead you to Freenow?
I have been working as an HR professional for almost 20 years now. Time definitely flies. I have spent the vast majority of my career in industry roles, working with Germany, the UK and Spain. I joined Freenow almost five years ago as a Senior People Business Partner, supporting teams and managers in their day to day work and through major changes.
Your role touches many parts of the organisation. What makes it especially exciting or challenging?
Positioning the People team as a strategic business partner by leading teams through changes while keeping long term business goals in mind. I enjoy finding solutions to complex situations by being creative. Finally, influencing, challenging and negotiating with all stakeholders to bring value to the company.
What is something you genuinely appreciate about working at Freenow?
The autonomy and trust that are granted from the very first day. On top of that, the responsibility, the passion of the teams and the easy access we have to the company’s leadership.
And finally, what would you tell someone who is thinking about joining us?
Be yourself. It is a business that really values different backgrounds and horizons. And if you love challenges and fast paced environments, Freenow is definitely a place for you.
Thibault’s experience shows the value of having someone who leads with both structure and empathy. He brings discipline, clarity and heart to every conversation and plays a quiet but meaningful role in how Freenow moves forward.
