Driver's license exchange process

❗️ Remember that the district office/county council must confirm the details of the driver's foreign driving license with the local authority, so the whole process can take up to several months.
- Application for exchange of driving license

The application must be completed in Polish.
- Current photo
The requirements of what a photo should look like can be found here.
- PassportPassport issued in the country of origin.
- Confirmation of fee payment
A fee of PLN 100.50 for the issue of the document.
You can pay it at the office cash desk or by making a transfer to the office account.
You can title the transfer: [name and surname], fee for exchange of foreign driving licence.
- Photocopy of foreign driving license with translation
The translation of the foreign driving license into Polish, must be drawn up or certified by a sworn translator, or a consul, and form an integral part of the document.
In the case of a foreign driving license issued in a Member State of the European Union, there is no requirement to enclose a certified translation of the foreign driving license.
- Polish identity document
It can be:
- a temporary certificate of identity of the foreigner;
- a residence card;
- Polish identity document of a foreigner
- a permit for tolerated stay.
- Document confirming residence in PL for at least 185 days
This can be:
- visa;
- a residence card;
- a certificate of registration of residence of a citizen of the European Union for citizens coming from the Member States of the European Union;
- certificate of studies;
- residence in Poland;
- employment contract;
- housing lease contract.

How to add a Polish driving license in the driver application?
- Open the menu at the bottom right of the application (3 dashes)
- Go to: "Profile" > "Documents" > "Driver Documents" > "Driving license" > "Add new version" at the bottom of the page.
❗️Add separately a photo of each page of the driving licence. Take a photo of the whole document, all corners must be visible.
