How to use RideMovi eMopeds with Freenow
Add your driving licence and ID
You'll need a driving licence, ID and residential address to use a RideMovi eMoped. It's quick and easy to validate these details before you rent – just follow the instructions in the app.• The good news: you only need to do this once to access all our services.• If you've already validated your licence and ID with Freenow, you're ready to go.
Find and unlock
Find your RideMovi eMoped on the in-app map, then tap to start your rental. Unlock the eMoped using the app and you’re almost ready to go.
Getting road ready
You've unlocked it – now here’s what to do before you hit the open road:
- Grab your helmet: open the helmet box (look for the red button) and take one. Make sure it’s securely fastened.
- Get on: sit on the moped, and unhook the stands, making sure they're fully raised.
- Turn it on: make sure the key switch is set to 'ON'.
- Start the engine: Press both brake levers together. The display should stop showing 'P' and light up with a green 'Ready'.
Ready? And go!
Safety is key
We want you to feel confident and secure on every journey
• Be aware: always be focused on your surroundings, traffic and pedestrians. Watch out for large vehicles and avoid blind spots.
• Wear a helmet: this is mandatory for both you and your passenger.
• Obey the law: please obey all local traffic laws. Remember that you can't drive eMopeds in bike lanes.
• Don't drink and ride: if you've had a drink or two, switch tabs and take a taxi instead.
Ending your rental
To end your trip, please park the eMoped:1. Push the kickstand down.2. Return the helmets: insert the visor of one helmet inside the visor of the other, facing opposite directions. This ensures they fit perfectly into the compartment.3. Connect and lock: insert the cable from each helmet into its corresponding jack (one on each side). This will lock them in place and charge them.4. End the trip: open the app and tap the 'End rental' button.
Parking rules – pay attention:
• Make sure you find a suitable spot and be considerate when parking.• Watch out for no-parking signs. Do not block sidewalks, bike or bus lanes, private entryways or driveways.• Local authorities may charge you a fine if you don't follow these parking rules.
