Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of FREENOW , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for FREENOW:
PDF documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. because Many organizations have a vast archive of PDF documents created before accessibility was a widespread concern or before tools for creating accessible PDFs were robust. These PDFs were often generated without proper "tagging" (structural metadata that screen readers rely on to understand reading order, headings, lists, tables, etc.).. Monitoring and resolving any issues on a weekly basis. Contact us via request form or post.
YouTube Videos: Some third-party embedded video content from YouTube may not include captions because Technical limitations. We are looking to provide alternative options. Contact us via request form or post.
Image Alt-Texts: Some images may not have correct alt-texts or may be missing them entirely due to the large amount of image assets, some instances may be missed. Tracking our website pages and adding alt-texts where additional context is needed only. Contact us via request form or post.
Contact Forms on Select Landing Pages: Some contact forms on specific landing pages, may not be fully compliant with WCAG standards. This includes instances where interactive elements might be missing appropriate ARIA labels or other programmatic associations, making them difficult for screen reader users to understand and navigate effectively.
